Logan Demolition Derby

I love demo derbies!  This did not disappoint, although, it did rain on us for the first several minutes.  the kiddos had a blast and did well.  I think these will be a regular occurrence for the Allred family!

Potty Training Attempt

With 5 days off work, I decided to try potty training the twins at the beginning of July. Here's how it went.

Step 1: Get Underwear On

Step 2: Sit on Potty every 30 minutes for 4 whole days.

Step 3: Try, Try, Again........LATER! 

We had no successes in 4 days and I cleaned up a lot of messes.  I decided to give up by the 5th day and to try again later.....much later!

4th of July

Trav had duties in Layton this year for the 4th, so we spent the day enjoying Layton City's festivities with my family, the Olsen's, and Trav's mom Lisa.  It was a fun and exhausting day!

 

On the 3rd, Trav was on shift in Layton so the kiddos and I headed up to USU for the firework show outside Romney Stadium with his family.  Good show, although, I remember why I haven't gone in years past....to late for the kiddos and a 2 HOUR drive home because of the traffic.

Random June Happenings

 Brielle's First Black Eye: this little missy was standing on the toilet watching me get ready for the day and decided to lean a little too far forward while playing peek a boo with her brother.  She then lost her balance and smacked her little eye right on the lip of the bathtub.  What a shiner!

We had a visit from one of my favorite roommates ever: Lacey Scott and her adorable twin girls Mia and Mylo.  Mylo was too active to sit still for a pic, but we were able to get some adorable ones of Mia!  It was a blast.

 Brielle has been quite creative lately and has started coming up with quite a few projects.  The first is a rainbow and the second is a train.  Love this little girl. 

Instacare #2

Well, boys will be boys!  Tayson ran into the corner of our end table and split his eye open, so here we are for instacare visit #2.

Luckily there were no stitches necessary, but the doctor nearly glued Bubba's eye shut!  Thank goodness Trav was there and watching closely.  The scar isn't going to be pretty though.

Heritage Center with Daddy

We have season passes to the American West Heritage Center.  Trav decided to take the kiddos out and they had a blast!

Tooele Trip

With Trav spending so much time in Tooele and Grantsville while working for Mountain West Ambulance, we decided we should take a trip out to see the sights.  Trav had a shift where he had 12 hours off, so the kids and I headed out to Trav's stomping grounds.

First, we visited the station where Trav spends most his time....

 Next we visited the Utah Fire Museum

 

And lastly, we visited the Tooele train museum.  They had this awesome little train that the kids rode at least 5 or 6 times.
