The House is Finished, The Final Shower, and More Belly Pics!

Well, we finally finished the house. Here is our completed covered patio, shutters, and our shed.

Here are some pics of my final baby shower. Thank you so much to EVERYONE for being so generous. We've ended up with adorable clothes, lots of diapers, and everything we could possibly need. We have such an amazing support system and are lucky to have all of you in our lives!

And, last but not least, the BELLY PICTURES.....
33.5 Weeks

34.5 weeks

Overall, the babies are doing well. Brielle weights 4 lbs 9 oz and Tayson weighs 4 lbs 11 oz according to the ultrasound measurements. They both passed the biophysical profile which assesses 8 different areas including breath movments, heart rates, arm/leg/neck movements, etc. I'm hoping they make their debut in the next week or two. I don't know how much longer I can make it. We just can't wait to meet them.

Life As We Know It

Here's a little about our life right now:

My belly gets bigger daily, or so it seems to me, so we've started taking weekly pictures. It seems the change may not be quite so obvious to everyone else, but here is documentation of my belly growth anyway.

30.5 Weeks

31.5 Weeks

32.5 Weeks

My doctor officially placed me on partial bed rest on Sept 15th. Pretty much I'm supposed to be in a reclined or horizontal position for the majority of the day. I can walk around as needed and still attend church and baby showers, but other than that I'm at home in bed or on the couch. The reason for bed rest you ask? I've been showing some progression for the past 3 weeks and at my last appointment I was dilated to 2cm and effaced 80%. I made it to 32 weeks without bed rest which I hear is actually pretty good for twin gestations. Now we're really looking to make it 36 weeks before these babies get here (36 weeks = October 13th). Trav's secretly hoping these babies make their debut on 10/10/10. I'd be okay with that too as would Trav's mom as Oct 10th is her birthday. So, I'm taking it easy, missing work, and trying to keep myself busy. Trav is doing a wonderful job taking care of me, working, and completing his very productive "to do" lists.

I've had several baby shower's and still a couple more to go. These little twins have been spoiled beyond comprehension and we are so grateful to everyone who has been so generous. We're lucky to have you in our lives! Thanks so much! As of right now I only have pictures of the Vernon Family Shower so here are a few.

For Your Viewing Pleasure

Here we ALL are at 26 1/2 weeks along!

I had another appointment on August 13th. They did an ultrasound and the babies are measuring right on. Tayson(yes we decided on Tayson) weighs 2 lbs 7 oz and Brielle wieghs 2lbs 4 oz. They still look healthy. My glucose test came back high so I got to do the lovely 3 Hour Glucose Tolerance Test. Luckily this one came back normal! YAY! No gestational diabetes for me. My feet are swelling like you wouldn't believe, I'm tired all the time, I can't sleep, and I have the 3rd Trimester aches and pains. Other than that I'm doing well. I'm 28 weeks right now. I still have no signs of preterm labor and the doctor said that she would induce me at 38 weeks if I haven't had the babies by then. So Brielle and Tayson will make their debut no later than October 28th. I can't wait! 10 more weeks at maximum and we'll have two gorgeous little ones to snuggle and love!

AND A GIRL! (Baby B at present)

We are so excited and VERY grateful that there are no abnormalities! We're still thinking of names, but nothing is finalized until we see their beautiful faces and make sure what we have picked out fits them. As of now our daughter will be named Brielle with a nickname of Ellie and our little boy will be either Evan or Tayson with the middle name David. Let us know what you think....boy names have been a big struggle for us so if you have any suggestions or favorites we're open to ideas. We're so excited!

On another note here are a few more belly pics:
